Spanish Language Meetings: A new Spanish Language phone meeting is up and running at 9 pm on Tuesday evenings. We have added a Spanish Language page to the website. It is oanyc.org/espanol.
Teen Outreach: We are asking meetings to volunteer to become Teen Friendly meetings. They would be designated with a TF in the meeting list. Please see the attachment [link or post] Anyone or any meeting interested in helping with Teen Outreach, please contact outreach@oanyc.org. Business Meetings are coming up in most groups, Please bring this up at your meetings if you are interesting in having your meeting be a teen friendly meeting.
Grass Roots Outreach: We have a new downloadable tear-off sheet version of “Is Food a Problem for You?” This can be downloaded and duplicated. They then can put up locally to attract those who still suffer to oanyc.org where they can find information and meeting locations. PSA: The PSA continues to run on the CBS Jumbotron on West 42nd St, between 7th and 8th Avenues. It also is playing in rotation on A and E, the Biography Channel, the History Channel and History International. It is most often seen during 2nd and 3rd showings of “Heavy” on A and E. Please email outreach@oanyc.org if anyone comes to your meetings because of the PSA. [link to PSA]
There are great opportunities to carry OA’s message to those who still suffer. All are welcome on this committee and there is no abstinence requirement to join and do service on this or any committee of Greater NY Metro Intergroup. See meeting info at the top of the page.
